This particular film is capable of evoking an endless amount of emotions - from love to respect to empathy, this has it all. In this particular article, I would want to focus on Captain Vikram and Miss Dimple's picturesque love story.

Captain Vikram and Dimple's love story is absolutely adorable - just seeing Sidharth and Kiara together on screen would bring such a smile to anyone's face that his/her cheeks would start to hurt (trust me, mine did!). Their journey starts in college, when the two of them used to hang out together in the same friend group. That was the time when Captain Vikram had started liking Dimple, and he'd cheerfully walk up to Dimple's friend, asking her for advice on how to impress Dimple. Once he tried his trick and asked Dimple out, Dimple agreed and felt a connection between him an her, and that is when they officially started dating. From holding hands to wanting to marry each other, their love story develops beautifully.

Before leaving for his duty again, Captain ensured that he spent some quality time with his partner. When they had once gone to the temple, he secretly held Dimple's dupatta, without letting her know, and took four rounds in the Gurudwara. If we go by the Sikh religion, this is not just a charming act, but also the way to getting married. This meant that both of them were married to each other! And on hearing this from the Captain, Dimple's face lit up with a priceless smile - one that would make emotionally attached people like me want to cry (I actually did cry, I felt so touched by Captain Vikram's gestures for Dimple, they were very endearing). Right before heading the train, we see that the Captain performs another pleasing gesture, yet again. He told Dimple that he wanted to marry her the Hindu way, too, and right that moment, grabbed a blade from his pocket. He quickly made a small cut on his thumb and he used the blood to add what is popularly known as 'sindoor' to Dimple's forehead. That was one of the most unforgettably dreamy moments ever. Captain Vikram seemed to be the most romantic guy ever, never failing to come up with one thing or the other to make not just Dimple, but even the audience when we saw him, fall in love with him more and more. These lovely romantic gestures made the love story even more loveable for the viewers, making us falling in love with the idea of being in love! Their love story arouses this certain hope of finding love, it's so cute! I feel like Vikram was such a special guy, that words are genuinely too less to describe him. Seeing Sidharth Malhotra play him was an added bonus, and it made me feel like Captain Vikram was one of those one-in-a-million romantic guys. His character gave off dreamy fictional character vibes - and I loved that! He was such a thoughtful and charismatic man that I couldn't believe that he was an actual person and not a perfect fictional character from some best-selling novel. What Dimple shared with Vikram was so special that even if she wanted to, she probably wouldn't have found it again anywhere else. In my humble opinion, I somewhere feel that this is the reason why Dimple chose to remain unmarried. It was not just out of respect, but out of such immense love for Vikram that she probably felt she wouldn't have found anywhere else; and I can completely comprehend where she's coming from, the movie says it all, rather, shows it all. This is what I love about such movies - they show, don't tell - and, that's what captivates me and grabs my attention.
